This kinda says it all.
Liberals love to pick and choose which scientific claims to accept.
It doesn't work like that.
It's either facts or feelings.
Pick one.

It's not a "scientific claim" just because it was made by a scientist.
His appeal was to "anyone who had black employees", not a peer reviewed study or published scientific research that he has done.
We need to stop worshipping scientists!
If Einstein said that Taco Bell Doritos shell tacos were the best food of all time, would you accept that?
Obviously many people would, but "that's just like, your opinion man."

But he is correct. African countries have among the lowest recorded IQ scores.

It says right on the page,
These results are controversial and have caused much debate, they must be interpreted with extreme caution.
There are tons of sociological and cultural factors hiding behind success on IQ tests. Without going any deeper on that page, it seems like some authors are making a case that average IQ scores are correlated with national wealth.
Anyway, since when did we decide that IQ was an accurate indicator of intelligence?

You fucking idiot. James Watson along with Rosalind Franklin, a woman discovered DNA. He also says later in this quote that you should not discriminate based on a persons skin tone.
He's widely regarded as a pompous windbag who didn't do much besides steal some Woman's efforts.

What do you believe are the implications if he is correct?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
African countries would be the most destitute, corrupt, and poverty-stricken.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
that would happen if the gap was entirely accounted for by the environment as well. anyway I was mostly talking about implications for foreign policy. Send more money to Africa because they are naturally disadvantaged and need our help? Send less because Africans are stupid and not worth the hassle? Restrict immigration? Start using CRISPR?

Wow, that's brilliant!
That must be why China, the country with the highest IQ on your map, is the most developed, least corrupt, and richest nation in the world!

[Hong Kong] has a very high Human Development Index ranking and the world's longest life expectancy.
According to Index of Economic Freedom,[23] Hong Kong has had the highest degree of economic freedom in the world since the inception of the Index in 1995. Its economy is governed under positive non-interventionism, and is highly dependent on international trade and finance. In 2009, Hong Kong's real economic growth fell by 2.8% as a result of the global financial turmoil.
Hong Kong's economic strengths include a sound banking system, virtually no public debt, a strong legal system, ample foreign exchange reserves, rigorous anti-corruption measures and close ties with the mainland China. Despite the downturn, these strengths enable it to quickly respond to changing circumstances.[24] It has the most efficient and a corruption-free application procedure, the lowest income tax, the lowest corporate tax as well as an abundant and sustainable government finance

So, in China, the country with the highest IQ, the most developed part is the part that was colonized by Britain, a country with a lower IQ?
Wow, that doesn't really confirm your theory at all, does it?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Please stop talking out of your ass.
[–]ul2006kevinb 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I'm serious. If IQ correlated with economic success, then the "chinese" parts of China would be the richest in the world, and the British part of China would be just as rich as the rest of the world, right?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I'm serious too. Stop talking out of your ass.
[–]ul2006kevinb 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Then explain how I'm wrong
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You're assuming a perfect 1:1 correlation.

This is fake, isn't it?
