I recently got back from my college orientation and tried testing the waters with TRP skills with an entirely new group of people. I did find that women generally seemed more interested in me, but I had quite a bit of trouble controlling social group dynamics and maintaining conversations. I often start out strong in groups but soon run out of things to talk about and kind of fade out of the conversation. By the end of orientation, I pretty much ended up as the right-hand man of the AMOG. He was a cool guy and I'm glad we became friends, but most of the male and female attention centered on him while I only received some of the residual. Does anybody have any tips or resources on how to assert yourself as the center of a group social dynamic and how to maintain conversations?
