A pregnancy, planned or surprise, doesn't mean that woman has to stay home long term & give up on getting her doctorate, she can go back as soon as she wants. Any parent who decides to stay home long term with their child(ren) has already decided that they're ok with a lesser career in the long term.

This is so morally wrong on so many levels. I feel so bad for that guy. How can any court system think that this is fair in the slightest? I would have committed suicide. I'm sorry to say this but I would have. At this point he's not really living anymore.
