Lady Scott said she had decided "justice is best served" by taking the "wholly exceptional decision" to give Cieslak an absolute discharge.

She said the purpose of the offence was to "protect young girls" but added there were "exceptional circumstances" in this case.*

My god - this is one hell of a case. For decades in the UK the age of 13 has been the absolute bar for consent. Even though the age of consent is set at 16, a 13 year old consenting to sex was seen as legal consent.

I'm wondering at the judges full judgment - it can't be as simple as presented by the BBC (Fully Feminism III Compliant Institution). I've dealt with cases similar to this, the worst involving a 12 year old Girl targeting a Low IQ 19 year old male, as she worked out how to escape from a sexual abuser who had targeted her for 5 years. She told the guy she was 16 and she looked that way in dress behaviours and make up. In that case the 19 year old got 5 years, the peadophile was not prosecuted and the Girl ended up pregnant.
