Equal and fair retaliation. Simple shit. You try to insult me and I will mirror it unto you, no more no less.
It eliminates me of any liability. Because if you punch someone in the teeth for gently bumping your shoulder, the retaliation is disproportionate and people can still call you a scumbag. But if I give back something directly equal, no one can really argue anything. If they say "you shouldn't have said that she's a girll!!!" you can bring up the fact that she said the exact same thing to you and the argument will quickly crumble because it's not built on any sound logic.

Your analysis of the English here is a bit flawed.
Dogs are cool, loyal, smart, useful, they save life's etc
And cows give milk which is essential to human life. And they give beef which is a rather healthy poultry. But you yourself just said calling someone a cow is an insult.
The problem with your statement is that you list the good traits of one animal and the bad traits of the other, making it a flawed argument. You defend the insult "dogs" by saying "dogs are cool and here are some good traits about dogs, so being called a dog isn't an insult"
But you just associated cow with fat.
It could have easily been "wait how is calling someone a cow an insult? cows produce milk which is the nectar of human life, and they give beef"
but calling a man a dog ... I don't get it. How is it insulting?
Based on what I said above it should be easier to understand now. It can be seen as an insult if you look at the negative connotations of someone being a dog.
Usually it's referring to a stray dog, with traits like: filthy, covered in fleas, unwanted, undesired, homeless, obedient to a higher power, etc.
So I guess that's why calling a man a dog sometimes offends him. Because they associate the insult with the negative traits above. It didn't offend me at all, I just didn't like the fact my sister thought she could call me a name.

Your post is just full with inaccuracies. I said calling a woman a cow is an insult, but calling a man a cow is just funny. My point was that calling some guy a dog is not common. Imagine going up to someone and saying you are a dog. They will look at you with confusion and think you are crazy.
Your obsession with dairy milk is alarming, "essential to human life" "nectar of human life" pfft... That is just not right. Are you trying to be witty or something? Because it didn't work. Ask anyone to list essentials to human life and no one will say milk. Air, water ... maybe, but milk? Considering most humans are lactose intolerant should tell you something.
