The MSM media war over Cassie Jaye's film The Red Pill has begun.

First salvo fired is Alan Scherstuhl's review which posted both at the Houston Press and Village Voice (at which he is an editor).

Both links point to the same execrable review that attacks the director and the individuals/groups who appear in the film without touching much on the issues involved, but the character and nature of the respective comment sections is quite different. The VV appears to be rather more liberal-minded (not surprising given where it's based and the industry sector), therefore there are a great deal more SJWs commenting there, though there are a few in the HP as well.

Scherstuhl, who goes on Twitter as @studiesincrap, doesn't directly profess to be a feminist or SJW, but this interaction between himself and one or two twitter SJWs suggests at least some sympathy. The review itself, of course, removes all doubt where his sympathies lie (double entendre intended). Naturally, he doesn't declare his obvious conflict of interest (wasn't there some fuss a while back about ethics and journalism? /s), but integrity was never an SJW strong point.

Interestingly, Cassie Jaye posted this rather enigmatic tweet the same day as that interaction:

Events surrounding The Red Pill documentary are getting curiouser and curiouser.

I wonder if Scherstuhl is what she was referring to.

I've posted Mike Cernovich's review as a separate link to keep the discussion threads separate. Cernovich is no friend to MRAs, but his review is far more balanced than any SJW could hope to accomplish.
