He was also defending his dog - doesn't she grab it by the leash? Keep in mind he kicked her German Shepherd just beforehand which may or may not have been an overreaction depending on what went down between the dogs (it's not clear from the video).

"Hey, you slapped her!" Yeah, if she was trying to pull his dog onto the ground and wouldn't let go, slapping is a legitimate tactic to get her to back down. What was he supposed to do? Tug of war?

The women is the most if not all at fault here for instigating the situation, allowing it to get worse than it needed to and how it could have been avoided entirely if she was a responsible dog owner. I'll try to break it down best as I saw it:

They were having words right before things blew up about her not controlling her dogs - She has two dogs, big and small and she pretty much says the same about him but the footage shows her dogs are the issue - The big one is the problem here dominating others: (00:29) and her little dog obviously takes the lead from that...

At: (00:42) her dogs start to tag-team the man's dog so he's forced to pick his pet up to remove it from the skirmish, all the while she doesn't get off her passive-agresssive ass to de-escalate the situation before things take an ugly turn - She finally makes her way over but by now it's too late - It's unclear if the man's is bitten in the process but her big dog lunges for his dog: (00:50) - He sweeps the animal out of the way with his leg--

Nooooow she's got energy to do things - He gives her a clear verbal warning: (00:51) "WALK AWAY!" She doesn't heed this advice and immediately pushes the guy with both palms outstretched for daring to handle her dog - He defends himself by pushing her face away - It's impossible to tell if she's trying to grab his dog in retaliation or it's just messy contact back and forth but she's reaching around and he's trying trying to keep her at a distance, while she's trying to attack hm, while he's still trying to hold his dog in one arm, while her big dog is still trying to have a parting bite (00:55) at his dog.

By now (00:56) the woman has probably worked out it was unwise to pick a fight with someone at least two times bigger and stronger than her and she's now being thrown around like chew-toy while she's pawing at him attempting a slap and then (00:59) WHITE KNIGHTS DEPLOY!!! Pinky and Gumby enter the ring...

Gumby (1:19) hands down a pussy pass proclamation and a declaration of dog breed supremacy while Pinky makes sure the fair maiden has adequate breathing room to faint...
