Loved my job! Had a great boss. This great boss got the flick and they brought in some 45 year old female who was pretty clueless.

Reporting to this female boss was painful. Everytime I did something good she ended up trying to spin it on the head, give me crap for it..and THANNN sell the idea to management that it was her idea without her thinking it was getting back to me.

On friday I go into work and asked to have a meeting with her and HR. Surprise, surprise I've been fired/let go.

I politely said it was a shame, went to my computer and it off and grabbed my things and walked off.

This is the first time I've been unemployed. I have about 4-5 months worth of cash up my sleeve to see me through but I've never had a break. I rarely take leave and I'm considering not looking for work for a good two-three weeks and focus on my hobbies. Good move or too much risk?

Other problem is self-esteem. This manager made me feel like an idiot, like I was incompetent. The last 3 weeks I hated going into my job because of her bullshit and games but no one else seemed to clue onto it.
