I follow /u/cholomite's law - Tingles without fuzzies won't last; fuzzies without tingles are worthless. You've got to present a beta side every now and then or the LTR will certainly fail. You just have to make sure you're in control over how this is expressed, not her making demands. Most TRP people won't bring this up because TRP isn't all that interested in fostering LTRs; MRP is more designed for that.

As for your particular situation, if you care to ignore the religious angle, I wrote a post about what you're describing. The gist is that each gender has a role and there are two ways in which these roles play into attraction: (1) seeing someone of the opposite gender who is likely to be really good at their role, and (2) seeing a quality in a potential mate that they will let you fulfill your role.

For women, one of their roles is caring and nurturing. She will not stay long with a guy who will never let her express her caring or nurturing side. But you gave her an opportunity to console you with a quick, "I'm sorry, it's okay." This is attractive as long as it stays on your terms and does not give any indication to her that the problem giving rise to the situation will interfere with your ability to fulfill your role as a man (i.e. mostly alpha stuff).

EDIT: Also, how does your title reconcile with: "I left ... I didn't message her till a week later"? It sounds to me like there was no sex for the entire week after you said that, whereas your title says, "everyday for the next week." What gives?

The best sex, is the crazy sex you have with somebody who you like physically but also have a "connection", meaning, I know what shit you've gone through and I like (love?) you, I accept you.

Sex is the purest form of communication, you cannot be more vulnerable with a women, and after talking with her about bad shit, she felt like she could be vulnerable with you i.e I'm free to be "naked" with you.

Tl:dr You gave her comfort.

You're not an outlier; you just don't have all of the facts. There were qualifiers about which you either do not know, or haven't told us.
