Some of you may remember a few years back when a Salvation Army shelter turned away a family because it included a 15 year old boy, leading the boy to have a mental breakdown.

It is apparently official Salvation policy to turn away homeless boys as young as 12.

At the time Salvation Army Captain Michael Cox claimed that the policy was being revisited. Seen as how it has been well over a year, I for one am interested to see what if any changes have been implemented.

I would like an official statement on their policy from the national organization. I don't think that is too much to ask.

Be nice, but reference the article and ask for an update on the policy. If they get hundreds of emails to dozens of people, maybe they will actually address this issue!
