Feminist dogma insists that men are responsible for everything that happens in the world because, apparently, we run it. Therefore, if men wanted rape to stop, then we would make it stop because the Patriarchy, to which we all belong, has the power to do that kind of thing.

All men are assumed to be Supermen: all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful entities who exert control over everything. This is how most women, at least sub-consciously, perceive men. It is where the contempt for vulnerable men comes from. “What’s wrong with you? You’re supposed to be Superman like every other man.” It also explains their glee when they see one of these alleged superheroes come a cropper.

That's a very interesting theory. It shines some light on the macho posturing of male feminists - their belief system makes them out to be supermen. It also shines some light on the "I'm only 100lbs, but I beat up my boyfriends" school of Jezebel posters - to them, strength = masculinity, and masculinity = toxic masculinity, so if you want to be strong, you have to imitate the worst kinds of men.

One of the reasons why PUA philosophy is so toxic is that it promotes the idea that men should try to fulfil some kind of man-as-Superman ideal. Vulnerability is not allowed, only masculine prowess, fitness, success and the unrelenting maintenance of ‘frame’. Depressed about not being able to see your kids? Get over it dude and stop being such a loser.

Throughout PUA criticism of the MHRM is the accusation that we somehow celebrate male vulnerability, which makes us all a bunch of whiners. They completely fail to understand that MHRAs want our culture to recognize male vulnerability and take it seriously enough to offer just and viable solutions to whatever has made them vulnerable. This is completely different from celebrating it.

MHRAs want the humanity of men to be acknowledged and respected, whereas PUAs just want to perpetuate the man-as-Superman myth – the foundation of gynocentrism – that prevents this from happening. In other words, PUAs insist that men should try to be the invulnerable superheroes that most women want them to be, whereas MHRAs encourage men to be who they really are and to ignore those who attempt to shame them for them for it.

If we treat them as equals with agency, then we have to hold them to account and stop fucking blaming men for women acting like cunts. LOOK: both MEN AND WOMEN are sick right now, in fact the whole damn society is. Women are too mentally violent and feral, the worst of their femininity is running amok. Men are too confused, passive and directionless. That's where TRP comes in, but men should only be taking responsibility for their own destinies, not blaming themselves for the inevitable theatrics that come as part of the package in dealing with your average day loony toon of a woman. I never subscribed to the "as a man, it's your fault she's a cunt IF she's a cunt mantra," and I never will. Some women are just fucking cunts, plain and simple, and you're an idiot if you think you can make poison drinkable, or tame the untameable serpent. It takes a whole fucking society to bring bitches in line, and society has failed all of us.

This whole, she's got no agency when she's playing her victim card, but she's as equal as you with as much agency as you when she needs representation and respect is fucking bullshit. The mixed messages are what really fucks shit up. And that shit really fucks up young men, men in general and the sheer prospect of an LTR for a man. It's such a head fuck that I understand why a lot of guys think "fuck this shit!" and look for escapes. I don't fucking blame 'em, they're doing what they perceive to be the rational thing, they just want to be happy. Most men are simple like that. They don't need all the head games and politics that comes with being in a relationship or even associating with women nowadays.

Except the article is missing the fact that it's not that men shouldn't be vulnerable.. or human.. just that they shouldn't be so in front of women... who really don't give a fuck about your pain at any rate.

Women want the Superman, because they want to be protected, and don't want to have to deal with things like an adult. Sure, it would be great if we could be who we really are in front of women... but we KNOW for a FACT that weakness is unattractive to a woman. And a weak man is of no use to a woman.
