Various people have used or even prefered to use female bodyguards. Gaddafi had a personal bodyguard team of 15 females, defending him, they are often refered to as the Amazonian Guard, and im pretty sure that if you want to search for more information, then thats the name to use.

Gaddafi himself said that he felt it would be harder for a gunman to fire on a women, and i even believe there was a test done in the second world war, where in fact it took longer for a sniper or assassin to perform his ''kill'' if he saw a women in his scope compared to a man. But its hard to really find some actual science on this. Some even say that Gaddafi just used his female guards because of showmanship, harder rumours say they were even his prostitues.

Compared to this, Hitler didnt have official female bodyguards, but there were plenty of female SS guards in service. The germans sometimes used females for undercover or more secret assignments simply because they went under the rader. That Hitler used female bodyguards from time to time doesnt seem unlikely, especially in everyday situations so that they didnt look like guards.
