Marriage strike - you don't have to subject yourself to an anti-male institution to have a relationship, but you might be undermined for unmarried cohabitation. What are your experiences?

The social pressure isn't as bad as discrimination against interracial relationships for example, but it's still baloney. Here's a neat trick. If friends, family etc put the pressure on and a partner starts to give in and bug about it, tell them to go marry those people then if it's so important to please others. Who gives a shit if they disapprove?
