SPOILERS: For starters, there was technology-aided pick-up artistry that resulted in a male character's death, the lack of male parental rights leading to the alienation of a man from his family, and the alienation of a man from society at large for having being branded a sex offender.

The theme of male alienation was pretty evident by the end of the show. (My wife even noticed it!) I personally enjoyed it and found it refreshing. Did anyone else notice?
