Female Twitch streamer goes from 100 viewers to 4,000 (and growing) while she streams herself installing DOTA2. Gaming so hostile to women, they literally hand her a subscriber button men have to work for years to earn.

Yep, every time I hear about how hostile gaming is to women I laugh.

I used to play Wow professionally and had raided in a few high end guilds and in all of those guilds we'd have women there that were in no way up to snuff when it came to playing ability.

Just god awful players that were there for 1 reason and 1 reason only, they were women.

In 5 out of the 5 top tier guilds I was in they all disbanded over drama involving one of these women.

A lot of other guilds had "no female" rules for this very reason.

Twitch is just as bad, you'll have a professional male player getting a few hundred viewers down the list and some random female that's really bad at over 4k viewers making thousands of dollars.

The claim that gaming is hostile to women is so utterly untrue of reality.

I've played Runescape since 2007, I had a friend on it who was a girl that I knew for four years. I put a lot more time into the game than her, she was less than half my level and none of her skills surpassed mine. However, she was richer than me. How was she richer than me, even though I put more time and effort into making money? Because random people would give her shit, because she was a girl. She would stay in the same spot, start talking to people, befriend them, and ask them for money. She made hundreds of millions this way.

I had another friend who was a guy, yet played as a girl character because, according to him, people were nicer and would be more eager to help him. There was a mod of the game would said in a forum post that he played most MMOs with a girl character because he was treated better.

Anyone who thinks women have it worse than men in gaming are fucking delusional.
