Police detective, addicted to pain meds, botched 80-100 investigations. She was mysteriously given multiple '2nd chances' by the police chief who deferred internal investigations. A probe by the county DA wasn't completed before she was fired for botching other cases.

The Broward Sheriff's office is notorious for being corrupt beyond compare. I don't think this was a pussy pass but more of the thin blue bullshit in action. She probably knows of a lot of fellow officers that are also corrupt and or incompetent. Firing her without overwhelming public pressure would be a mistake for their code of silence.
