Well kind of. It is a one-time effect. They are getting married later. The overall lifetime "ever got married" rate is going down but only a little.

Sort of -- but I still think the amount of people who aren't getting married is dropping in absolute numbers fairly substantially. We are assuming that the remaining younger non-married cohabiting cohort is going to eventually marry, but that simply may not be the case for a significant minority of them.

The ones that are, are college-educated and have higher incomes. The real crash in marriage is among the working class.

Oh for sure. The real issue is that a dropping proportion of the college-educated and higher income crowd is men (something which is actually by design given our pro-feminist policy).

In general, women aren't wanting to marry such uneducated less earning men and so, it's not exactly a given that those women will actually "eventually" get married because they may wait too long and hit an heretofore yet unknown age threshold where MEN (even working class ones) won't want to marry THEM.
