Once again. This is why we need legal parental surrender. The man knows that if she does carry the embryo to term. He will be responsible for child support. If she ever chooses to come after him for it. And even if she does not personally come after him for child support. The government will come after him for child support on her behalf. Should she ever ask for any form of government assistance. If he is going to be legally responsible for any children that are from this embryo, then he should also have the power of veto over it. I have no doubt in my mind that if he could sign away all legal rights and responsibilities away. He would do just that.

the article has such a misleading title. you cannot legally sign your civil rights away. a more accurate title would have been, "judge upholds father's rights." but no mainstream newspaper editor would allow that.
