In the last year Canada (first) and the US have removed the PSA test in their guidelines. The reason (I believe) is the $30 cost for the test...at east that was the factor in Canada.

This is not a good idea for many reasons. Such as PSA being a terrible screening test (it was never intended to be one but a way of monitoring treatment) Most men who are "diagnosed" with prostate cancer due to PSA, never would have died due to it, but likely would have died with it. As such would have unnecessary surgery, causing incontinence, impotence and generally a poor end to life for no gain. Seems to opposite of a benefit for men.

"National" means mandatory?

Since if you WANT the screening you can always have it. I dont need anyone sticking a finger up my ass for profit.
