So this is actually a common problem of mine being a college aged dude.

I was traveling home and this chick caught my eye while I was waiting for my bags at the airport so went and talked to her, lots of IOIs and got her number in the end. But because we're both in college my conversation to getting her number went pretty much like this: her: "so you doing anything fun this summer?" me: "planning to sit on my chair and getting blacked out drunk" her: "haha, that sounds like fun, you're not going out to bars or clubs tho?" me: "maybe I will, here, gimme your number so maybe we'll see it each other at xxx bar/club"

So naturally a couple days later I texted her asking if she's heading out to bars/clubs anytime soon, in which she responded saying she's going out with some friends soon and that I should come hang out. Obviously I want to see this girl again and escalate, but is it just me or is it pretty weird and awkward to show up to her friend group as some random dude who she met a couple of days ago? Should I push to meet her alone? Or should I meet her friends, build rapport with her there and set up another date later? How would you guys proceed in this situation???
