"4.3.1 I have given a great deal of thought to whether there should be another ground to meet the cases such as where the husband repeatedly comes home drunk and beats up his wife and terrifies the children, if not beating them as well. The marriage may become intolerable for the wife, and yet she cannot physically separate from her husband because there is nowhere she can go."

Statements such as the above are used when introducing law that discriminates based on prejudices against groups of people. No form of discrimination should be tolerated in law as each person has the right to be judged as an individual and should not inherit the sins of others. Hasn't society already decided that sexism should not be tolerated, so why are statements such as the above still found in the law? Removing such statements will not diminish the law but instead enhance it to deal correctly with matters on a case-by-case basis.
