Wow, what a heartbreaking story. What a fantastic father. The birth mom and her family sound absolutely vile. It is sad to think little Skyler will probably read this story down the road and learn about hown horrible her birth mother was. Glad she has no parental rights whatsoever.

The disturbing thing is that the only thing giving him any rights as a Dad to contest the adoption was being on that obscure list.

"She knows it's forbidden to date a nigger." That "nigger" is the father of your granddaughter and a rather committed and honorable one at that. It makes me sad that racism and ignorance exist.

I love how this illustrates a commendable trait, that when spoken down to, castigated, reviled and lied to, some men just use that unfounded hatred as fuel to keep burning brighter.
