New bill attempts runaround on retirement-age protections on Alimony

Alimony laws in Massachusetts allow judges to require payors to continue to pay alimony even if they have been paying alimony for many times the length of the marriage. This is absurd and unjust.

I would like to amend family law. So that under no circumstance what so ever can a person be made to pay alimony for a duration longer than the marriage. Or put simply. If you are married for ten years. You can be forced to pay alimony for a maximum of 10 years.
