Yeah, I really don't care if there is a woman doing a lot of fighting. Was it a feminist movie when Tina Turner was running Barter Town? Wait to see the movie before you throw a hissy fit.

I could care less what ROK thinks, i won't be seeing it because any movie that goes out of its way to involve a child-rape apologist like Eve Ensler is not going to be getting my money in its pocket. Fuck Ensler, fuck Miller, fuck the new PC Mad Max.

EDIT: I went to see it. I thought it was decent. I get that the plot revolved around making sure escaped breeding stock survived, but I didn't get an over-arching feminist vibe at all. Max was Max - a man of action and few words. The women were the catalyst and then really just background. Charlize was just a person trying to get something done, Max was just a guy in the middle of it all who used what opportunity he could. There was no real man hating - I mean yes, there is this part with some kind of "holy mothers" but even they weren't against men per se.

Complaining about this is getting old already, doubly so with that idiotic ROK link.

If you want a real reason not to see it, consider that it's a 30-year-removed sequel to a trilogy from the 80s - there's been enough traffic down that road to justify giving it a miss without tumblr-esque bitching over nothing. :)

Just saw it - it's overrated, and yes their is a feminist tone in the movie, but not intolerably so. Every woman in the movie is of course good, pure, beautiful and /or wise as per the standard Hollywood script. Virtually all of the men (aside from Max) are bad. I just found it excessive and nowhere near the quality and depth of Road Warrior (Mad Max 2). It should not have even been called Mad Max. I suggest folks wait for the bluray or netflix.
