A refreshing attitude by the author and yup, depressing:

This is what contemporary feminism looks like: a pathetic but dangerous gaggle of self-proclaimed victims of patriarchy who want a state-sanitised world, free of offence and confrontation. There was absolutely nothing offensive or even controversial about the Protein World ads, and the majority of the girls I met at the protest were there for a photoshoot and nothing much else. The other attendees consisted of the usual roll-up-smoking, fight-the-patriarchy stereotypes who follow controversy around like a bad smell. The talk was of nice feelings, brave faces and the overcoming of faux-personal battles. The fact that, by proclaiming themselves hurt and incapable, these women were relinquishing their own sense of agency didn’t seem to bother the protesters. This celebration of weakness is the garb of contemporary feminism. Dressing it up in a fancy bikini doesn’t make it any less pitiful.

Wow, 40 of them. How many women in the UK? At least 20 million? Thank you, feminist weasels, for showing the world just how small a minority you really are.

Wow. She crushed them. Sweet.

Brilliantly written article. It points out the absolute ludicrous nature of the modern "feminist movement".

Its like these women just hate ANYONE who is different in any way. Like if you aren't the average woman in every way (who should be put on a pedestal anyways) then you are supporting a "misogynistic culture". If you want to exercise and look good, you're shitty and supporting male dominated culture. Its so ludicrous.

Articles like these remind me that these are a minority of people, albeit a very loud/salient minority. And here's hoping that Protein World's reaction will set an example (you couldn't have deliberately planned a better strategy). And even with a strong media bias of that site, at least it showed how embarrassing these specific non-representative people are -- and how dangerous when asking for state censorship power.

The problem is that the tiny minority has infiltrated traditional media. They in effect, cover their issues themselves. They have a very loud voice for such a tiny group of people.

Hence this 'small group' being able to get the ad outright banned.

They didn't get it banned as far as I'm aware.

What a bunch of fucking nonsense. Spineless bureaucrats. I'm not sure how a fitness model could raise health concerns. And what about her feelings? What about women like her? These people want their cake and to eat it too. No shaming unless it's of people that are considered more attractive than themselves.

Indeed. Which is why I love the angle of pointing out that they are actually celebrating weakness. The very opposite of what feminism started out to be. The more eyes we can open to this hidden truth the better. Let them be stupid and knee-jerk, society will wise up quicker that way. ;p

Also some media outlets love to cover and misrepresent these cases ... hello outrage culture. Get's them views and clicks, and who cares for the consequences.
