In our media men are exspected to jump over the moon for the women he fancies. For instance in the anime naruto. Naruto goes all demony when hinata dies which is not only weird because he could have choosen to do so much earlier while pain was chatting until hinata interjected in to save his own butt. Its just that the last time naruto let the the demon fox take over is when he was trying to rescue his friend(the battle with orochimaru, and the battle at the lake/pond or whatever) The guy who also risked his life to save naruto and has spent at least 4 seasons building their friendship together. Hinata's relationship with naruto up that point is non existent. Furthermore if you notice becoming a demon fox is an extremely painful process. The chakra coming from the demon fox completely reshapes naruto's organs and bones. I mean here he has no skin!

We are expected to believe as an audience that he puts up with all this shit simply because one women is fond of him!?
