If sex is so hard for men to get, why do they want it so much?

There’s a point at which the effort it takes to get X outstrips it’s value and for men who rely on fake personalities, pick up artists, deceit, trickery, begging, haven’t they reached that point? I don’t want things I can’t reasonably have. A G wagon would be nice but it’s unrealistic so I don’t focus on getting it. Why don’t men stop focusing on ‘getting sex’ and focus on something more attainable.
