TLDR; Got classified as a Beta by family members, not sure how to break mold.

Staying over at my aunt's place in a different country. Going on vacation to a beach in a different town. Explicitly told not to go out and meet people (chicks and dudes). I am told that the reason for not going out for beers is because dudes at the resort town are known to "prey" on women and to rob tourists.

Kinda ironic that "those dangerous local men" are seen as having success in "preying" on women, yet I am discouraged from engaging with those very same women - cuz dangerous

Clearly I have been cast into the Beta category. Also my aunt has been coercing me into doing things against my will. (ex. eating shitty food she brings out, i.e. putting shit on my plate, wearing "indoor shirts" vs the ones I bought, etc) If this was my mom, I would simply tell to fuck off/ not eat the food and that would be the end of it. But because I am staying over for free, I can't really do that.

Any advice?
