So this appears to be a feminist fantasy of victimry. It's important for feminists to constantly portray themselves as victims who have no voice, even as they get billions from the government and have the US president parroting their propaganda. It helps to make them feel left wing or "radical" instead of what they are. And it helps them to push the idea of female victimhood too.

So pretty much nothing in this article is right apart from the general comment that comedy is often about the downtrodden and can be a way to safely criticise those in power.

So if this article had been written about the MRAs then it would have been mostly true. It's not so bad these days but for a long time the only way you could get a hearing of men's issues in public was through a comedian. Comedians literally were the most publicly noticable mouth piece of men's rights ideas, as this article ridiculously says is true of feminism today.

And when I say comedians I mean stand up, not these on TV women. But in any case obviously feminism has many more publicly visible representatives such as many politicians and the US president himself.

Comedy defending the powerful and helping to attack the weak doesn't really work, which may help explain why a lot of female comedians are often not that funny. Even if people don't really know that the feminist "jokes" are based on lies, they get the subtle feeling that it's based on prejudice, on attacking people for just how they were born, and that is the sort of thing that makes people think of feminism as a whole negatively. Being an asshole doesn't make for good comedy. Poking fun at those in power does. And people aren't buying into the feminist victimry so much these days, so the attempts at comedy increasingly fail.

Btw this also explains why it's harder for other right-wing comedians to make explicitly political jokes and get anywhere. It's hard to make a joke at the expense of the disadvantaged. Not many even try although I guess Carlos Mencia did.

Too bad the only one that's remotely funny is Amy Schumer.
