Can't these people see that saying stuff like this is bad

"The idea that we can somehow change women's movements and somehow prevent violence against women is just patently false...There are always spikes in self defence classes after brutal murders but it doesn't protect women. No amount of lighting and CCTV is going to stop men attacking women."

It just reinforces the idea that women are weak and helpless and instills them with fear, and discourages them from taking precautions.

O could you please tell me again how the majority of men are the majority of homicidal victims? And tell me how around 80% of the male victims matter less, than the 20% of the female victims? I know that she isn't saying that, but she sure is making it sound like that. Just like she is trying saying that women are 'more' in 'danger'. If anything men should be running around scared of their lives, as they are more likely to wind up dead on the floor. Get your priorities straight.
