Nick will use his speech to set out Liberal Democrat plans to establish a Women's Justice Board based on the same principles as the successful Youth Justice Board to work to reduce the number of women behind bars.

I saw a video on this which shows this to basically be a cost cutting measure and PR stunt. It cost more to house female prisoners, so they can save money and look 'compassionate' to the public.

Yeah, those gentile girls are occupying costly punishment instead of men who probable deserves it more..

Prison is the nexus of male oppression..We don't think of it as cruel but it is..Ask any man facing a few years in prison something like this "you can either spend a couple of years in prison or we can hack off 5 digits of you choosing without anesthetic finger toes whatever". I bet you most people would choose to lose some toes and a pinky or two..People would choose to have their backs flayed open with a bullwhip and permanently scared than serve years behind bars..That's how cruel prison is.
