The movie trailer opens with a chorus of men screaming “stop crying, be cool, be a dick, don’t let women run your life, be a man”.

The bolded part is pretty revealing. Is letting women run your life good? There are plenty of ways in which societal pressure is to have men let women run their life. When you're married, for example, there's lots of things that the wife is supposed to decide and the husband is just supposed to go along with. That is totally fine, and probably a sign of an "enlightened" man according to these guys, but someone wanting some independence still is just in the "man box" or whatever.

They're faking their sympathy towards men there I said it.

Men need to follow in women's footsteps and abandon their gender roles. Don't let people tell you how to live your life or what to do with your life. There will be a lot of shaming language coming your way for doing this, but reverse the genders every time a woman says "you're not a real man because/until..." and imagine how they would react.

The documentary is feminist-supported, feminist-created, and views masculinity through a feminist lens, which, as we all know, tends to be more than a little…subjective. It looks suspiciously like a serial numbers filed-off version of Toxic Masculinity, which is itself a serial numbers filed-off version of Patriarchy Theory*. The title is a clue; Mr. Kimmel and Mr. Katz have had as a recurring theme how masculinity compels men into roles they don’t want. This is true, but they focus on the what they believe the parts of men’s gender roles are which harm women. Unless they’re talking about Toxic Masculinity. But that’s another post.

The one thing some feminist keep forgetting is that no matter how much they try to make things "equal for the sexes" under law and societal norms they still cannot bend the laws of nature to fit the laws of man. Biology gives no fucks about religion or beliefs. Men are naturally stronger, more aggressive and hard wired for certain activities. Gender roles have basis in biology and naturally occurring behaviour. Revisionist radical feminist cannot change DNA or millions of years of evolution.
