i don't think they realize that "yes means yes" essentially criminalizes sex. it's unfortunate that on campus it's not required that the woman receive a "yes" from the man, it's just assumed the male has consented. in an actual just and equitable system, that nuance would be given credence. since college conduct boards are run by feminists, they've made sure that hasn't happened.

if "yes means yes" ever entered criminal law, however, i think you'd see what is going on in the UAE right now: a woman goes to the police with a rape accusation, and both parties get sent to jail for sex outside of marriage. it's unfortunate that this is the road we are now on.

This legislation could be beneficial actually if played out well. Here is how. if someone challenges it at the Supreme Court and they rule that it is unconstitutional (which it is) then nothing of the sort can ever be written.

As always, the plutocrats and the feminists working hand in hand. Think about it. If this becomes the acceptable standard for rape, why would it not sooner or later become the way to do things in other crimes? Hell, why waste time trying to prove Bradley Manning is a traitor when you can just leave him to prove that he isn't?

I agree with the concept of 'Yes means yes', that you get consent before sex, it just makes sense. However, I will not support any bill that throws the burden of proof on the accused, that does not make sense. Have there been any decent drafts of the legislation yet?
