Gender-based violence is one of the most persistent human rights violations of modern times. It aﬀects women disproportionally as it is directly connected with the unequal distribution of power between women and men perpetuating the devaluation and subordination of women and violating women’s fundamental rights and freedoms. In particular, it notes that evidence in the form of collecting comparable and harmonised data on gender-based violence is crucial for informed decision-making in the area.

They will collect favorable data to legitimize and further their agenda ignoring and nullifying any studies that shows that gender violence affects proportionally both sexes .
