This logic makes me face-palm so hard my face hurts. Boy plays with dump trucks therefore “...perpetuate gender inequality, which feeds into very serious problems such as domestic violence and the gender pay gap."

I would have bought into: Boy plays with dump trucks therefore he has interest to be a heavy machine operator when he is older, which is a male dominated field.

Or even: Girl plays with doll riding unicorn and grows up not knowing what she wants to be so she takes gender studies courses and claims toys make men into violent adults who always make more money than women.

While i do not favor the idea that kids should be limited in what they play with, claiming toys lead to DV and the pay gap is about as stupid as it gets. This is why i long ago re-directed all emails from the Greens to my spam folder, they are bat-shit crazy when it comes to gender. And you want irony? How about a woman who looks like Barbie complaining about Barbie?
