If you know anything about this country you would know that personal connections to all the privileged, college educated elite is so very common here. If you graduated from the Wharton school of economics, I am sure you would be on the list unless you were from a farming community in the North and had no connections. Rich fathers and mothers get to give gifts to the Bank of Thailand so their daughter can get to be an intern for the summer. It should be noted that there were probably 200 or more qualified applicants.
