Senator Kevin de Leon said “With this measure, we will lead the nation in bringing standards and protocols across the board so we can create an environment that’s healthy, that’s conducive for all students, not just for women, but for young men as well too, so young men can develop healthy patterns and boundaries as they age with the opposite sex,”

Senator de Leon now joins others in openly acknowledging that this legislation is intended to violate the fourteenth amendment due process rights of boys and men to equal access to services for victims of domestic and sexual violence, their rights under the 2013 VAWA reauthorization's nondiscrimination clause, and their civil rights under various other state and federal laws. This also applies to both men and women in same sex relationships.

Victims of this sort of criminal discrimination supported by Senator de Leon and others should read the USDOJ VAWA Civil Rights FAQ and the reddit mens' rights FAQ. They should file federal civil rights complaints, obtain representation from federal civil rghts attorneys, and contact civil rights organizations like FIRE.

One is to many, even if victim blamers like Senator de Leon disagree.
