You'll really need to cite that, as there is absolutely nothing in the article claiming that a single innocent man was imprisoned. Citation please for an actual innocent man who has been imprisoned for underage sex in Cambodia. Innocent, now, mind you.

Yes, Somaly Mam embellishes her life story, a lot of which probably didn't happen, and yes charities there hugely dramatise the problem beyond reality to get funds, Steven Morrish's SISHA in particular is highly suspect as NGOs go, with many seeing him as a foreigner (he's Australian) just looking to milk rich donors to fund his PP lifestyle.

However there still IS a problem, albeit in recent years a relatively minor one, and one mostly in the local rather than Western-oriented prostitution market. The article you linked did admit that there were hundreds of underage girls engaged in it. That's a tiny tiny fraction of the overall number of whores in the country, and far far lower than NGOs claim, but it is still a problem that is worth fixing. The major problem in doing this is that probably 99% of the underage girls are servicing locals, but stories of Western pedos bring in the money, and so they focus on the 1% of the problem.

Not sure this is a men's rights issue.

Yes they fed off and encouraged the anti-male conspiracy theory that is the whole White Slavery / moral panic / "trafficking" bullshit. But which man did they send to prison because of their lives?
