I just wanted to say that there's a bright side to all of this, guys. You have learned the truth of all that matters in life - desire. Nothing more, nothing less.

Social notions of "love", "progress", "vulnerability", "maturity" all mean jack shit.

The human animal is pitiful. To the extent that he can, he indulgences in his own selfish desires and extrapolates some kind of moralization of those desires - look at me, I put my dick in a woman, that means I'm growing, I'm maturing, I'm becoming a "real man" - so as not to feel like he's a disingenuous self prick who cares about nobody but himself.

And then when he enters old age, he is no longer able to act out those desires, and copes by villifying his youth as a period of "mistakes" and "immaturity" while also moralizing that resentment. "Look at me, I've learned what really matters in life, not my indulgent desires, but what love really means"

You are more mature than all of these fuckheads. You know they are really just children masquerading how they really feel. You know all that matters is desiring and feeling desired.

While experiencing the harshness of life is not ideal, you at least know the truth. And honestly, I would rather know the truth and be miserable than will myself to delusion and be naively happy.
