I just want to say very clearly that I haven't dug deep in to this and measured it, or even put the mental work in to crudely correlating it's significance with other factors such as facial features and height which we all know are the strongest specific factors in how humans tend to determine attractiveness.

However I have always known that for me as a male body composition on women is an extremely important factor and I haven't ever been convinced that women just aren't as picky. All this article is is an in to more research on the topic I don't have time for right now but will get back to in a day or two. Thought you people might find it interesting.

But in short, the study the article is referencing, which I can't even access, suggests that body weight was associated with immune system strength and general "health" and having a body weight of around 12% was significant in terms of how women rated a males attractiveness.

Implying that the physical facial features as well as other physical features when one has a low body fat % express features of a better immune system. Healthier skin, brighter eyes, etc etc.

We know that weight loss = face gains so there's nothing new there but it seems like there's more to the story than just that, probably.

Anyway there's absolutely no real information available here to back this up. It's just an opening for more research later so if and probably when I dig in to it I'll return to let y'all know. But I thought it was interesting. Cheers.
