An argument against the male suicide statistic is that women try to do it more. But one thing I thought about is that, depending on if attempts are the only thing tracked and how they're, that doesn't address the amount of suicidal people. Assuming the counting is off, one suicidal woman who tries twice and succeeds on the second counts as two attempts.

Might be wrong though, I haven't dug into the stats.
