First of all, there isn't a clear demarcation between dominance and looks because for the most part dominance = looks. Looks lie somewhere in between the dominance and submissiveness spectrum. For men, it's more on the dominance side whereas for women it's more on the submissiveness side.

A male who's considered highly attractive will have mostly dominant features with a few "submissive" ones thrown in for good measure. Men with all dominant facial features are considered most attractive, but only when the woman is ovulating. For the most times though, majorly dominant features combined with a few "submissive" ones are considered attractive by women aka the guy should look scary and dominant but also has some kind neotenic features thrown in (like kind eyes or full lips etc) so that he isn't too scary or dominant (most male models fall into this category).

edit: to sum it up, women will be attracted to the aforementioned "hybrid" men most of the times with their attraction for "pure masculine" men peaking when they are ovulating.

If a chad gets beat up by a strong normie I don't think she'd leave him for the normie but I think she'd likely leave him for another chad.

Dominance trumps looks but only in seriously dire situations can women truly rationalise attraction to the more dominant guy if there really is a huge gap in the aesthetics between the two.

It’s all a sliding scale.

Will his gf start to feel less attracted to Chad due to his weakness (inability to protect the progeny), and start to feel attraction for the stronger more physically dominant male?

If her Chad bf is a total asshole, she might because she knows he had it coming by being a bully and she'd gain respect for the normie standing up to him (though why she'd be with an immoral dude to begin with is beyond me). But if her Chad bf is a good, kind, loving person then she'd feel protective/empathetic towards him and would feel anger/disgust towards the normie who hurt her bf for no reason.
