Like many on this sub, I'm banned from r/divorce. Since I can't comment on my earlier post there, I'd like to issue a retraction here in the form of a post. I'd look to find a more elegant place to display this comment but I don't care about this site, and you must be pretty bored to be reading this so, call it a wash. Good 'n' uff.

I'm trying to get in the habit of retracting false statements when I notice them, or statements that I feel no longer represent my views. This public receipt I think is the best policy. Some might call it a "ten-step," but I digress...

In an earlier post I suggested my stbxw's decision to leave was counter to a moral imperative to stay. I'd just like to make it clear for the record, a moral duty to your partner is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a successful marriage. Nobody should be wed to someone just because they feel compelled by the law or society or God.

Arranged marriage is illegal and I'd like to keep it that way.
