So this past weekend after a solid month of not speaking to one another we finally sat down and talked and decided in the best interests to ourselves and our children, 10 & 3, that we should get a divorce.

We agreed 50/50 on everything and plan to fill out all the paperwork ourselves. She can have whatever she wants I'm not going to fight her and so far she has had the same attitude towards the few things that I want.

I have been extremely happy (about being myself again, not our marriage) ever since we had our discussion and it seems she is feeling the same way. Don't get me wrong it's still very awkward around each other but we havnt spoke this much in a very long time.

I feel a bit crazy and not sure if anyone else has had a smooth transition like this before or am I setting my self up to get taken through the ringer?

Also, on a side note I bought a house for us one year ago and I am planning to sell it and just rent for awhile. Does anyone know how the capital gains work on selling a house? Surprising my realtor said I should make a could chunk of chance, based off of other properties that have sold recently next door to us.
