I know this is a divorce men group but I’m a woman and would like some insight with a man I’ve been seeing who is in the final process of a divorce. I was married in my 20s and got a divorce I initiated even though we both knew we weren’t right for each other. I didn’t ask for what I was entitled to financially and only received about 25% of what I was entitled to. I didn’t want to ruin him financially. I then had a long term relationship with a man a few years after and although we were not married, he ruined me financially. I’ve been single for about 5 years and really wanted to take my time. I did meet some a couple years ago via a set up from friends and although short it left me heartbroken. I took some time off from dating and started again and had given up when I met the man I have been seeing. He’s not a player and very sincere and honest, empathetic, caring and sensitive. We were taking things very slow and falling in love. He went to visit his family in Georgia for thanksgiving and as soon as he returned he told me he wanted to see me every day and although not ready for marriage or moving in he still wanted to continue as he missed me so much. I told him we could continue to go at the pace we are going and I wasn’t even thinking marriage or moving in. He tends to get into his own head and anxiety about it. The next day he surprised me with a trip for us in January and told me I make him so happy etc etc etc. everything was fine then this Sunday out of the blue he said he was in a bad place emotionally then the next day dumped me. Saying he couldn’t be with anyone and he felt immense guilt and anger over his divorce. I don’t understand where this came from. Does anyone have any insight or advice?
