I got a 5 year Restraining Order against me. Physical and Legal Custody were taken away from me, although I get my kids every other weekend.

I was ordered to take classes as a way to attempt to get custody again, but I don't believe I'll actually get custody, even after completing the classes.

Also, the classes last for a year while the DVRO is 5 years.

Has anyone had a similar situation and completed their classes? Were you able to apply for more time/custody after completing the classes or did you have to wait until the DVRO expired.

Once you completed the classes, did you get more time w your kids, custody, etc?
