I’ve been separated from my wife for two years. She’s contacting me this week asking me to sign a homestead waiver exemption act. She’s telling me that that’s just for the purposes of tax and so I won’t be on the deed. My question is me signing this eliminates that asset from any divorce proceedings. Is this correct?
