So we are currently waiting for judges final judgment after divorce trial in August.
I had a septic tank repair part replacement this week at home so I can get remortgaged and I had my facilitator/friend from divorce support group come to home with me while work was being done and also to have someone with me while wife would be there. so she wouldn’t be giving me crap. We also were able to close the swimming pool without incident.
So she acts all appropriate and all saying hello to him and calling him by name all friendly. He had been to all my court days and trial and just acknowledged her. He actually had her lawyer for his divorce. So she knows they know each other as he also helps some of clients navigate their divorces in the support group.
Today my attorney gets notice from her attorney that my now STBX needs money. Yes I know now why this all of a sudden that she has no reason to stay at house. Pool is closed nothing to add to her creature comforts.
So I told my lawyer I will give her the option of giving her half of equity in home provided she leaves by November 1. She doesn’t wish to retain the home so that’s good. Or I can give her a cash advance until the final judgment. We can’t tell her to return the household goods she purchased after being served for 20k as judge said at trial chambers conference that she would not back that out as I stopped paying support to her after I served her with divorce papers. Oh well no one is a winner in everything in divorce.
Just hope she doesn’t try to drain our joint bank account. But she is asking through her lawyer so I highly doubt she would want to ruin her case by doing that and neither would it be a good idea for me to close and put it in my own name in another bank.
Of course she opened up my credit card statement the other day when I went to pick up my mail and said it was a mistake. Bull! Says oh if you can spend money I can spend money.
I’m hoping she has found a place and even better is that it will be where the snowbirds go for the winter! and then stay there permanently. Good riddance!
there doesn't seem to be anything here
