Im a 24 year old male who has never been in a relationship but I am not insecure about it at all. Don't get me wrong I was, I was very insecure about it, but I decided to work on myself instead of believing in the TRP when I discovered it when I was 19. I have been working on myself for the past 5 years. I went to therapy and I have been going for the past 3 years. I have become very confident in myself, self-aware, and I have been very successful when it comes to academics in college. Through therapy I learned to value self-love over letting my relationship status define my self-worth and learned what a healthy relationship would look like. Having a healthy relationship with my Therapist has made me realize that the TRP only reinforces what the believer already believed about relationships with women and the "alpha males" on social media are just the people that said it. They validate their insecurities in a way that only reinforces it and that is a dangerous cycle and this is why I believe it is a cop out for men. TRP has created a community where if anyone challenges their beliefs and insecurities they immediately get exiled. This prevents men from wanting to change and improve themselves out of fear of losing that sense of belonging. What needs to be done for them to overcome their insecurities is understand why they're insecure about something, accept it, and find ways to seek help. I understand everyone doesn't have access to mental health services but there is a ton of helpful information on Psychology today and it is healthy. The information that helped me and helped sped up the process of therapy was attachment theory. This helps people become aware of the types of relationships they attract, helps them understand what to avoid, and helps them figure out what is healthy to pursue. There's also information on self-love and other things that are important to your mental health. Another thing that is helpful is to write in a journal where you're a being self-reflective and be sure to be honest with yourself. I hope my store and this information helps anyone who is struggling!
