Saw a post few days back about a couple. Accidentally found them through Instagram.

She met him when she was 23, and he was 35/36. She was a postgraduate student from a well-off family (her profile showed that she always dresses in style and using high end stuff. I'm not talking about Michael Kors kind, but Chanel kind. Anyway..) He was a CEO of a well known company. And all of her posts seem to be happy.

They went on vacation to the beach where she showed off her toned body in bikini. All paid off by the man. She also posted their pictures showing him looking younger with new hairstyles and more stylish clothes. When celebrating their anniversary, she posted a long "thank you" post dedicated to Mr. Boyfriend of how he was always doting and taking care of her, opening the car door for her, sending flowers every now and then, reminding her to eat fruits and drink water, etc. They dated for 2 year-ish and then got married after she graduated. She was pregnant 1 year later and now live happily ever after.

Now, looking at this scenario, it seems that there's nothing wrong with age-gap relationship. Because everything seems to be going on so well following the handbook guidelines. So age gap.. Is it really a fluke?

Because other than the age gap, I can't seem to find any other red flags. But then again, I was looking from Instagram posts that were already highly filtered to only show her happiness. 🤔

This couple (or maybe more of "Her Postings") then inspired so many of her friends to find older and mature men, especially those who already earn so much more with a stable income. Remember of how her peers are also just fresh graduated students with no income?

I kept thinking the reason of why people decided to go this way. Is it really because by having relationship with younger woman stroke the men's ego? To have a little wife at home. Or having relationship with older, richer men catapulted the women to a higher society ladder so they can live comfortably without worry about money?
